Power Supply Unit recommendations:
- Mean Well RT-65A
- Mean Well RT-85A
- Mean Well RT-125A
Note: Depending on the production date, the RT-125A may require a minimum of 2A load to start, which means it may not be suitable for the 1-slot MVS, IGS PGM or other low power games. The RT-125A is recommended mostly for older, power hungry boards from the 80's. Similarly for older versions of the RT-85A; the new RT-85A does not have the minimum load requirement and is a great all-rounder.
If your games don't require -5 V, then you could go for the Mean Well "RD" series:
- Mean Well RD-65A
- Mean Well RD-85A
Excellent but may be difficult to obtain:
- Mean Well MWP-606
- Prima Power 42PP0606
Make sure you also get a protective cover for your PSU:
The covers can be 3D printed. You can find sketches for the most popular power supplies on Thingiverse, simply search for your PSU model.
